Takachiho Adventure Tourism Association (here in after referred to as the "Association") has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") regarding the handling of personal information of users in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as "Services").


Personal Information

Article 1.

"Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Personal Information Protection Law, and includes information about living individuals that can identify specific individuals by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance card numbers. Personal information refers to information that can identify a specific individual by itself, such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions contained in the relevant information.

The Association may ask for personal information such as name, telephone number, and e-mail address when a user makes an inquiry.


Purpose of collecting and using personal information

Article 3.

The purposes for which the Association collects and uses personal information are as follows

 1.To provide and operate the Association's services

 2.To respond to inquiries from users (including to confirm the identity of the user)

 3.To contact the user for information on the services the user is using, etc.

 4.To contact users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, etc.

 5.To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or who attempt to use the service for illegal or improper purposes, and to refuse their use of the service

 6.To allow users to view, change, or delete their own registration information, or to view the status of their use of the service.

 7.For purposes incidental to the above purposes of use


Changes to the Purposes of Use

Article 4.

The Association shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when the purpose of use is reasonably deemed to be relevant to the purpose of use before the change.

2. If the purpose of use is changed, the Association shall notify the User of the changed purpose or publicly announce it on this website by the method prescribed by the Association.


Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Article 5.

Except in the following cases, the Association shall not provide personal information to a third party without the prior consent of the User. However, this excludes cases permitted under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

 1.When it is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.

 2.When the provision of personal information is especially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned.

 3.When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national agency or local government to execute affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of such affairs.

 4.When the following items are notified or announced in advance and the Association has notified the Personal Information Protection Committee

  a.The purpose of use includes provision to a third party

  b.The data items to be provided to the third party

  c.Means or method of provision to third parties

  d.Cessation of provision of personal information to third parties at the request of the individual

  e.The method of accepting the request of the person in question

2 Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the party to which the information is provided shall not fall under the category of a third party.

 1.When the Association outsources all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use

 2.When personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business due to merger or other reasons

 3.When personal information is to be used jointly with a specific person, and when this fact, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of joint use, the purpose of use by the person using the information, and the name of the person responsible for the management of the personal information are notified to the person in advance or are made readily available to the person in question or the name of the person responsible for the management of such personal information is made readily accessible to the individual.


Disclosure of Personal Information

Article 6.

When the Association is requested to disclose personal information by an individual, the Association shall disclose such information to the individual without delay. However, the Association may decide not to disclose all or part of the personal information in any of the following cases, and if it decides not to disclose the personal information, the Association will notify the individual to that effect without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen will be charged for each case of disclosure of personal information.

When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual concerned or a third party.

If there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper execution of the association's business

If it violates any other laws or regulations.

2 Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, in principle, non-personal information, such as historical information and characteristic information, will not be disclosed.


Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

Article 7.

If the user's personal information held by the Association is incorrect, the user may request the Association to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "correct, etc.") the user's personal information according to the procedures specified by the Association. 2. The Association may request the User to correct, add, or delete the personal information.

2. If the Association receives a request from a User as described in the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Association shall correct, etc. the relevant personal information without delay.

3 When the Association corrects the personal information in accordance with the preceding paragraph, or decides not to do so, the Association will notify the User of such decision without delay.


Suspension of Use of Personal Information

Article 8.

If the Association receives a request from a User to stop using or delete (hereinafter referred to as "stop using, etc.") his/her personal information on the grounds that it has been used beyond the scope of the purpose of use, or that it has been obtained by wrongful means, the Association shall stop using or delete the information without delay.

2 If, based on the results of the investigation described in the preceding paragraph, the Association determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, it will cease use of the relevant personal information, etc. without delay.

3 If the Association suspends the use of personal information in accordance with the preceding paragraph, or if the Association decides not to suspend the use of personal information, the Association will notify the User of this decision without delay.

4 Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, in cases where it is difficult to suspend the use of personal information due to the large amount of costs involved in such suspension or to take other alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the User, the Association shall take such alternative measures.


Changes to the Privacy Policy

Article 9.

The contents of this policy may be changed without notice to the user, except as otherwise provided by law or otherwise in this policy.

2 Unless otherwise specified by the Association, the revised Privacy Policy shall become effective when posted on the Website.
